Mount Toubkal rises to 4,167 m in the High Atlas, and this two-day itinerary is the classic way to summit it from Marrakech. You drive to Imlil, meet your certified mountain guide and muleteer, and start the walk up the Mizane valley past the shrine of Sidi Chamharouch.
Day one is a steady 5 to 6 hour climb to the refuge at 3,207 m, with lunch on the trail and a hot dinner at the hut. You sleep early because day two starts before sunrise.
The summit push takes 3 to 4 hours over scree and, in winter, snow with crampons and ice axe provided. From the top you see the entire Atlas chain, the Sahara haze to the south and the Marrakech plain to the north. After photos you descend to Imlil for a late lunch and the transfer back to your hotel.

Yes. The two-day ascent is the standard itinerary: day one is a 5-6 hour walk from Imlil to the refuge at 3,207 m, day two is a 3-4 hour summit push to 4,167 m and the descent back to Imlil. It works for walkers in good general fitness. If you have never been above 3,000 m, the 3-day Azzaden route adds an acclimatisation night and a higher success rate.
